Please join us for another one of our Climate Sessions presented by Dr. Seth Blumsack, Professor of Energy Policy and Economics and International Affairs.
“Is the Green New Deal for Real?”
Is the Green New Deal realistic? Can we really overhaul our entire energy economy in just a decade? Or is the Green New Deal just another piece of political grandstanding? Seth Blumsack, professor of energy policy and economics at Penn State, will talk about how greening some parts of our energy system could be very easy with enough political will, but transforming other parts would be very difficult to do quickly. Countries in Europe and South America have made major changes to their energy use in very short time frames, so there are lessons for our leaders to learn here.
