Billy Kelly is a songwriter, singer, guitarist, comedian, and unicyclist. Working under his stage name Earl Pickens, Billy has opened for Mark Olson of the Jayhawks and Barack Obama of the Presidency of the United States of America. He got his start playing music on New York City’s Antifolk scene and has since performed in 15 other states, and in 3 other countries if you count Canada twice. Billy has been nominated for a 2016 GRAMMY award for his album, ‘Trees’ which he recorded with South Carolina songwriter Molly Ledford. No Depression Magazine says Billy’s live performances are “charged by competence and charm,” and National Public Radio has lauded his “endearingly oddball sense of humor.” The Village Voice has praised his “skilled & clever songwriting,” and TimeOut New York has called him “hilarious” and “a dang good time”.
