Gus and Huck Tritsch’s new band, Wicked Chicken. Gus grew up on the stage at the Elk Creek Cafe. This is the first time he and Huck have had the stage to themselves. They can’t wait to share their new project at their favorite local pub.
New grooving reinterpretations of old-time tunes, driving cigar box guitar rock-and-roll, and Americana; Wicked Chicken entertains their audiences with original compositions and creative covers, fiddle tunes and guitar-drum jams. They are featured at the Pennsylvania Cigar Box Guitar Festival every August.
Gus plays fiddle and cigar box guitar. He has toured with Marah, and plays fiddle for several local bands. In 2018, Gus won first place at the Appalachian String Band Music Festival (Clifftop) for youth traditional string band. Gus was featured on Rolling Stone magazine’s blog as “Best Can’t Believe Your Eyes” at the 2014 Americana Fest. Huck plays fiddle and drums. Huck played washboard at the Azkena Rock Festival in Spain when he was seven.
