Nathan Xander + Jacob Ritter

Jacob Ritter has led the country-rock outfit The Wilson Springs Hotel from Richmond, VA for a number of years and in addition is now beginning his solo path into the music world. His songs can make you laugh, cry and think harder about things you try to avoid.
Growing into himself, Ritter is stripping back sounds and the makeup of his music to find a truer form of the songs. His start in music has always been through a band with plenty of volume and energy. His craft now has a stronger focus on lyrics and stories. Songs about change, observations of our daily walk.
Nathan Xander writes songs that are steeped in the quiet, restrained tension of what Greil Marcus called the ‘Old, Weird America’. With musical sensibilities inspired by latter-day Nick Lowe, Tom T. Hall, and Paul Westerberg, Xander sorts through loss and evolving identity as he stands on the threshold of a new era in his own career.
The New York based songwriter has spent the last decade refining his craft across stages of all sizes, from dive bars to folk festivals; sharing bills with Justin Townes Earle, Tyler Childers, Lydia Loveless, Tommy Stinson, Robbie Fulks, and Howe Gelb of Giant Sand.
