Erdapfel

Erdapfel (“AIRED-app-fell”) is the husband-and-wife folk duo Justin Dorsey & Hannah Almon Matangos. The duo’s name comes from Austrian German and directly translates to “earth apple” — and also means “potato,” a shared passion of the artists.

Based in Penns Valley, Erdapfel brings together a love of old-time and bluegrass with original folk tunes rooted in the duo’s Pennsylvanian upbringings. Throughout their music, Justin & Hannah take turns sharing vocals, harmonies, guitar, and mandolin, while swapping oft-humorous stories and inspirations from up and down the Appalachian Mountains and beyond.
